Anthiyur Gurunathaswamy Cattle Fair is to be held from August 8 to August 12.

It isn't just the temple car celebration of Arulmigu Gurunathaswamy temple at Pudupalayam, close Anthiyur, that draws in a large number of aficionados consistently, yet in addition the many impermanent shops lining on both the sides of the street for more than three kilometers, show of indigenous type of bovines and steeds at the cattle celebration which raises the festive mood of the devotees.

சிகிச்சை அளிக்க வேண்டிய நெறிமுறைகள்:

சினை நிற்கவில்லை என்று உறுதியாக தெரிந்ததும், அன்றிலிருந்தோ அல்லது அடுத்த நாள் முதலோ சிகிச்சையை துவங்க வேண்டும்.

1. முதல் ஐந்து நாட்களுக்கு தினமும் ஒரு வேலை முழு வெள்ளை முள்ளங்கியை வெல்லம் அல்லது நாட்டு சர்க்கரை, உப்பும் தடவி கொடுக்கவும். (நாள் 1 -5)

2. அடுத்த ஆறாவது நாள் முதல் நான்கு நாட்களுக்கு அதவாது ஒன்பதாவது நாள் வரை, கற்றாழையை முட்களை சீவிவிட்டு, தினமும் ஒரு வேலை வெல்லம் அல்லது நாட்டு சர்க்கரை, உப்பும் தடவி கொடுக்கவும். ( நாள் 6 -9)

3. அடுத்த நான்கு நாட்களுக்கு பத்தாவது நாள் முதல் பதிமூன்றாவது நாள் வரை , நான்கு கை அளவு அப்போது பறித்த முருங்கை இலையை வெல்லம் அல்லது நாட்டு சர்க்கரை, உப்பும் தடவி கொடுக்கவும். ( நாள் 10 -13)

4. அடுத்த நான்கு நாட்களுக்கு நான்கு கை அளவு அப்போது பறித்த பிரண்டையை ( தண்டு மட்டும்) வெல்லம் அல்லது நாட்டு சர்க்கரை, உப்பும் தடவி கொடுக்கவும். ( நாள் 14 -17)

5. இறுதியாக அடுத்த நான்கு நாட்களுக்கு நான்கு கை அளவு அப்போது பறித்த கறிவேப்பிலை உடன் மஞ்சள் ஒரு ஓரிரு கிழங்கு (பெரியாத இருப்பின் ஒன்று, சிறியது எனில் இரண்டு, கடையில்வாங்கிய பொடியை எக்காரணம் கொண்டும் உபயோகிக்க வேண்டாம்) வெல்லம் அல்லது நாட்டு சர்க்கரை, உப்பும் தடவி கொடுக்கவும். ( நாள் 18 -21).

மேற்சொன்ன அனைத்தையும் ஒரு நாளைக்கு ஒரு வேலை மட்டுமே கொடுக்க வேண்டும், நேரடியாக உண்ண கொடுக்க வேண்டும். கட்டாயம் மாடு சினை நிற்கும், இல்லை எனில் மேலும் ஒரு முறை இதை ஓரிரு நாட்கள் இடைவெளிக்கு பிறகு தொடரவும். கட்டாயம் மலடு நீங்கி சினை நிற்கும்.

HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT OF TEAT FIBROSIS IN DAIRY CATTLE

INTRODUCTION

Teat fibrosis, a common sequel of mastitis develops so gradually that it may escape observation until most of the secretary tissues are destroyed. Fibrosis may be diffused, involving whole quarter or local varying in size from pea like lesion to bigger masses near the base or tip of the teat (Blood et al 2006). Fibrosed mastitic cows do not usually respond to conventional antibiotic therapy and the affected quarter is ultimately rendered non functional resulting in a considerable economic loss to cattle owners. 

oral administration of Homeopathic medicines, Silicea 200C and Calcaria Flour 200 C for a period of 20 to 40 days in    dairy cows affected with mastitis having symptoms of fibrosis in udder shows very good result in restoring it in normal condition.

2ml of Calcaria Flour-200C in 100 ml of Luke warm water is  administered orally thrice a day to each animal. Silicea -200C is  also administered in same dose and route keeping a time gap of half an hour between two administrations treatment regime is continued for 40 days .

Calcaria flour is known for its ability to eliminate fibrosis (Edwad, 2002). Silicea stimulates expulsion of foreign body from tissues in chronic low grade inflammatory lesions (Day, 1992) (Shah, 2003). Calcaria flour and Silicea was found highly effective in chronic cases of fibrosed mastitis by Upadhyay et al., 1995; Upadyay and Sharma, 1999 and Singh et al. 2006. In light of these reports and present observation it can be inferred that combination of homeopathic medicines, Silicea and Calcaria flour can be effectively used in the treatment of fibrosed mastitis in cows. Although the course of treatment is protracted yet it is safe and cost effective.
